This combination results in a powerful tincture that has captured the restorative properties of the herbs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eIngredient insight:\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCascara Sagrada -  (Frangula purshiana) Naturally occurring anthraquinones, that trigger contractions in the colon, stimulate peristalsis.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLiquorice root - (Glycyrrhiza glabra) contains the beneficial compound glycyrrhizin, which has antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBuckthorn - (Rhamnus catharicus) a traditional purgative, works by stimulating rather than irritating to encourage bowel movements. The naturally occurring chemical compounds responsible for this laxative effect are anthraquinone and emodin. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eDirections for use:\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e1\/2 tsp (2.5ml or one dropper) taken before bed, preferably on an empty stomach, in 1\/4 cup of warm water.
